Just Another Day

Hi,

Just thought I would give you my daily update on my antics. Played a reasonable bit of poker yesterday and had a bash at the RIO jackpot as mentioned in my last post but to no joy. The most I got to was 2 wins in a row so back to square one. The rest of my play was in double up games and the occasional 6 seater, I ended the days play £500 up so that was OK.

Since switching from Betfair though I have managed to triple the amount of games I play without playing for longer periods of time. This is mainly because when at Betfair the 200 games didnt fill very quickly and very rarely in the daytime. They were also set up to pay the top 2. What I am finding on IPOKER though is that the 200 double ups fill straight away and I can play more at the same time, combined with the fact that they only play down until the 4th player is eliminated which means they finish a lot quicker. Now when I was at Betfair I raked about £2,500 per month and got about £800 per month back in rake. On IPOKER i could get a higher level of loyalty bonuses and discounts which could amount to a lot more so am getting £2,625 back. On a yearly basis this could be worth an extra £21,900 per year to me.

After realising this it is easy to understand that potentially I could make a reasonable living as long as I dont lose when playing.I am working on a business plan at the moment with regards to making a full time living from poker and part of this plan obviously involves my on line play. Simple maths tells me that if I paid £7,000 per month in poker fees and could get some of these back in the form of bonuses and discounts then this could equate to £29,400 per year. If I could make a profit of just £1,500 per month then this would give an additional £18,000 making a total of £47,400.

Now this is not enough for me alone to want to focus full time as my business brings in more than that but as I have said part of my business model is to bring players into the IPOKER network which would increase my income as well as offering them a good deal on the biggest and best site in Europe. If I could look after my players and deliver what I promise then I think I have a good chance of succeeding. There are a lot of other big ideas that I am currently working on to do with Poker and I will share these with you as time goes on.

Dont forget to mail me if you want any more information on any of my dealings at the moment and if I dont play golf tomorrow I will have some spare time to put some pictures up of past home games etc.(would prefer to play golf though)

have a good day at the tables one and all

Duffs
