Xmas Bonus

Morning Chappies and Lassies,

Haven’t posted much later as to be honest there hasn’t been a lot to report on. Its been very bust the last few days work wise and am trying to get everything done so I can have some sort of break. We’ve had our office party now which was quite a laugh and I am pretty sure that the photos aren’t too embarrassing but everyone had a good time – right enough of the waffle and on to the poker.

The last few days I haven’t played huge amounts as there has been a load to do and last night I got in from work at about 8.20 and fired up The BigSlick (great site). I decided to enter the $10 rebuy which has a guarantee of $35k. I bought the extra 1500 chips at the start and then did the add on so laid out a total of $30 – about £21. There was 1109 runners altogether as obviously it was a low buy in and had a good guarantee.

I started off well and then got up to about 32k and was donked when my AK lost to A9 and then QQ to 10 10. This sent me down to 4k and wasn’t looking to good. I then ran good for the next 20 mins and got up to the dizzy heights of 78k and into the top 10. It was at this point that my dear beloved wife (I hope she doesn’t read this by the way) was asking how long I would be as she wanted to go to bed. I told her that I felt that I was going to win tonight after having recovered like I did and she said well you always say that. It was at this point that I had a bit of a dilemma – she had had an Ann Summers Party the other night and wanted to play so do I turn down a very tempting offer or stop playing hmmmm. Well not being the one to turn down a good offer I sat out and returned later to carry on so managed to have a good old session amidst the game – loverly.

I was still in a good position when I got back and think I played pretty well to go on to take the $7,350 first prize which is about £5,000 sterling so nice Xmas bonus and I think Ill treat the missus to something special.

So for just a 20 quid layout I won £5,000 – I couldn’t have dreamt of doing that on Betfair so it just goes to show that there is loads of potential for the small players to make lots of money so would really suggest that if you haven’t tried it yet that you do so. Please E Mail me and I will show you how you can open an account and enjoy all the benefits as well as being part of out VIP rewards scheme where you get a % of your tournament and poker fees back.

It is always nice to win a tournament so to win this one was a little special to me as I have final tabled on the new site a number of times but this was my biggest one to date on IPOKer and a nice little bonus for Xmas. First time I’ve had over 4 million chips as well.

Well I have to nip off now and take my 2 boys Xmas shopping so that they can treat their mum and Ill do the same. Looking forward to it like a hole in the head as I detest shopping and the only time I go is this once a year Xmas thing.

Be lucky at the tables and all the best – catch u later

Thieving Gits

Afternoon all,

Back from Centerparcs now and the kids had a great time. I would recommend it to anyone with a young family who wants to get away for a few days. The swimming pool was great and the outside rapids kept the kids and I amused for hours.

You might recall we go a bit overboard on our Xmas lights and this year we decided to do a charity collection. We got a sealed bucket from the organisation and then put it on one of our heavy garden chairs and attached it to it with 2 heavy duty locks. Some thieving low life scumbag then decided to steal it and took the chair, buckets, locks the lot. I am so pissed off with this – you try and do some good and then this lowlife decides to nick it. I obviously have no idea how much was in the bucket but it breaks my heart that at this time of year people can stoop that low.

Yesterday I went to Celtic Manor for The Ryder Cup experience and apart from playing like a complete dork thoroughly enjoyed it. If you play Golf and fancy something special I would recommend it. The day is all about pampering you from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. As would be expected with the next Ryder Cup course there is a lot of water and bunkers and some interesting greens. It was money well spent and they do give you free freebies with your package and look after you very well. Look it up if you fancy it there are some good deals at the moment.

On the Poker front I haven’t managed to play an awful lot due to being away but in the games that I have managed to achieve a huge whopping £50 profit. Better than losing I guess.

Will hit the tables later so hopefully will post up some good results tomorrow.

See ya laters

Oops

Yesterday was probably the worst day I have ever had playing poker, all the donks were out in force and it must have been national river the duffs day. I couldnt do a thing right and lost game after game. I dont beleive I tilt or play any differently when on a losing streak but when it starts going wrong in hindsight I should just log out and wait for another day. Instead I just carry on - pretty stupid really still we live and learn. On a plus side at least I will get some of the tournament fees back.

I am going away now for a long weekend - taking the family to centerparcs at Longleat which I am sure they will enjoy. They have a bit of a Xmas theme there so that will get them warmed up for the big day. It will do me good to have a break after a horrific losing streak as well so wont be posting on here until next tuesday. As you have probably guessed I love Xmas and spending time with the family and its great that the kids still beleive although I suspect this will be the last year so am going to make the most of it.

Take care one and all and I hope your luck is better than mine at the tables and dont forget the £50 refer a friend scheme. I will still try and access the net whilst I am away so if you have any queries then please mail me.

See you Tuesday

Moving on

Still running bad - I started taking notes of what hands I was losing on but was only getting depressed so stopped doing that. Ended up the day £400 down, could have been worse I guess but I know it will only get better.

My back is feeling a lot better now so at least I am more mobile.

I am still loving the Ipoker site though and am enjoying the benefits of The Big Slick and I guess when you analyse it the site has everything that a poker player needs : Traffic, choice of games, big value multis etc so I am continuing to endorse it. With the site it is a case of trying it out and then asking the appropriate questions - I am going to compile a list of dos and donts which I have come across since playing the site and hopefully this will help a few of you. I think by now you have realised that I can get you a good deal on the site and if you need to contact me you can do so at duffs16@hotmail.co.uk . As I am trying to build up our base of affiliated players so we can start running some good promotions we have decided to introduce a refer a friend scheme. The details are as follows:

. If you introduce someone to us then we will pay you £50 once they have paid a total of $500 in poker fees and tournament fees. So if you could introduce 4 players that’s £200 in your pocket – better than a kick up the bum.

You would of course be doing them a favour as they would be playing on the biggest and best (in my opinion) site in Europe and they would also benefit from a rebate in their tournament and poker fees.

We had to put the $500 clause in otherwise we would get all your grannys and mums signing up to get the £50s. But in all seriousness it is free money for you and a good site to play on - dont forget Hills and Sun Poker are soon to come over as well.

In the meantime I have posted below some pics of my last home game that some of you might be interested in - soon to be released as well is the funniest exit of a tournament I have ever seen (Shaa in Singapore) so keep tuning in.

Have fun at the tables and may today be a good one - especially for me!!!

Four well known forumites have also been spotted meeting up - see here

Not running so good

Morning all,

Please accept my apologies for the lack of posts in the last few days but I have been feeling really crap and sorry for myself. My back has been pretty bad and I’m not too sure that all of the medication agrees with me as I have just felt so lethargic and lazy the last few days. I’ve pretty much felt like a zombie and not really done much. I really feel for anyone with severe injuries and totally admire them because I for one know that I couldn’t cope.

Poker has been pretty grim since I last posted and have had a pretty sick run to go along with bad back problems. My bread and butter games has always been sit and gos but have been running so bad in these – I am not going to post loads of bad beats but believe you me there have been plenty. You know the sort I mean, set loses to set AK to A2 AA to KK etc etc. I have lost £1,003 since I last posted and this would have been a lot worse if I hadn’t had a few decent cashes in some multis. Keep getting to final tables but falling short of the bigger money, last nights was pretty typical of my run of luck. I played in the 50K and was down to last dozen or so and shoved for 60k with 99 and get looked up by AK. A King on the flop sees my exit but if I had won that one would have been in a pretty good position to take it down. On a good day my 9s hold up and who knows. Still at least I’m still up on the month but my profits drop down to £1,015.

Penno gave you the answer for my little comp, I have to wear a mask (breathing machine) to bed every night as I have severe sleep apnoea and need it for that. Basically during the night I stop breathing every one and half minutes and the brain triggers you are not getting oxygen so you wake up take a breath and go back to sleep again. The mask blows air down my throat to ensue that I don’t stop breathing.

There are still a lot of projects that I am working on to do with poker and Ill let you know one of them tomorrow.

I said in previous posts that we go a bit silly with outdoor decorations at Xmas but the kids love it and seeing some of them at the gates looking at the lights make it worthwhile although I can understand that some of you will think it’s really tacky. It’s difficult to photograph them very well but here is a few pics of them.

Still going good

The £50 comp is still going and up for grabs I have posted a small clue for the missing answer in the comments on the thread so that may help.

My back feels slightly better today so I am back at work and catching up on all the lovely paperwork - my back really does need to get better soon as Im supposed to be playing Golf with Shaa tomorrow and Im gonna whip his arse.

I played a reasonable bit of Poker yesterday and chanced my luck in a few multis, played in the two daytime 15ks and the 10k ($10 rebuy), all good value tournaments. I cashed in 2 of them and best result was 12th in the 15k where the guy hit runner runner flush for me to make my exit. The rest of my games were a mixture of double ups and STTs. I managed to make a £930 profit which takes the months profit to £2,018. If only all months started as well as this, perhaps the blogging has helped discipline me as I really dont wish to post bad beat stories and tales of gloom.

I am planning to bash the tables later on again today if I catch up on my paperwork and hopefully the run will continue, we shall see.

See you all later

Daily update

Hello again all,

My back is still buggered so feeling a bit sorry for myself. It hasn’t gone for ages so was really hoping that I no longer had this problem but obviously not – I get a muscle spasm which twists my back out of shape and hurts like fuck. I will have to sit in my chair resting with laptop again today.

Well yesterday I played quite a few STTs and a few multis and managed to rake $488 and made a profit of £588 so got to be happy with that. This takes the months profit to £1,088 and a total of $813 in rake. I am hoping that my back eases off this morning so I can go into work as I have loads to do but if it doesn’t the only thing I can really do is blitz the poker again which if I had the same results as the last 2 days wouldn’t be a bad thing.

Still no takers for the £50 comp – seems like the poker world isn’t affected by the credit crunch, either that or no one bothers reading this – reminds me I must look into seeing how to get a site counter to see if I am wasting my time posting on here. Still even if I am talking to myself I am sure that it is going to keep me focused – I promise that if I fail in what I am trying to do then I will post that on here as well.

By the way Highstacks if your reading this can you mail me or msn me please I have a proposition for you.

Good Luck at the tables !!

Going Forward

OK start of a new month and have started well after playing a few double up games and a few six seaters and am going to keep a profit and loss tally on here. Hopefully this will keep me a bit more focused when playing as I have a bad habit of being a bit blase when playing. Yesterday I ended up £500 in profit and paid $325 in rake so as I said a good start and we will see how it pans out over the next few weeks.

When I used to play on Betfair I used to rake about £2,500 per month and last month I did £5,295 on I Poker and dint play any more hours then I did on Betfair. Its simply that the games fill quicker and that the double up games finish faster. What I am also enjoying is the variety of players and not just the usual dozen or so on Betfair.

Only one more question to guess right on my little comp and Im itching to give the £50 away so fire away with your guesses.

I have put my back out this morning and struggling so am going to have cancel my appointments for the day - this will probably give me time to post some pictures from the past.

Best way to cure a back I reckon is to sit in a nice straight chair with a lappie and hammer the poker tables so might have a blitz later on.

catch you all later

Knackered

Good Morning

Well this morning I am well and truly knackered due to too many late nights.

On Friday I bought the missus a car and plumped for The Chrysler Voyager as the 7 seats will come in useful. Then we had the entire family round as it was my big sisters birthday so pretty hectic day but no poker.

Saturday we went to a big party where they had a very good band there called Bambu and if you happen to see them advertised go and see them they are pretty good, had one or two bevies and suffered slightly the next morning. Managed to chuck up in the morning but I put that down to a dodgy sausage.

Spent most of the Saturday afternoon then getting wet finishing off the outside Xmas lights – will finish them today and then have the big switch on – going to do it for charity this year so trying to make it bigger than before. I will post a few pics on here later this week of them so you can see how mad we are.

Settled down then for an evening of Poker and was running so so and at the last minute decided to enter the ECOOP $500k guaranteed which is the reason why I am knackered this morning. In the midst of playing this I played in stacks of STTS and managed to cash in my last 8 so a nice profit was had there as well.

In the ECOOP event I started off OK thanks to a few idiots and at the first and second breaks I was up in the top 10 and looking good. However with 1645 players vying for the $100k first prize there was a long way to go. I was playing well but getting outdrawn a lot and some of the hands I can remember my AK lost to A 10, 99 lost to 44 and KK lost to AK (all in pre flop). If these had held then I am sure things could have been different. Anyway to cut a long story short I finished 84th after jamming with A 10 suited and losing to AQ so at least it wasn’t a beat that I went out on. I got $750 for my troubles but not sure it was worth it for my 2 AM finish. Having said that I wasn’t playing for 84th I really wanted to win it and don’t regret my jam one bit.

Very happy with everything that is going on with my life at the moment and as I have said there is a lot going on in the background that I will share with you all soon.

There are now 2 correct guesses in my little £50 comp so you just need to get the last question for the £50. Have a look at the thread and see if you can guess it. Mandylou – I need you to get in touch so that I can send you the £20 for the last comp that I did.

Really hope that you are all winning loads and don’t forget if you need any help with setting up an account with The Big Slick and Ipoker give me a shout at duffs16@hotmail.co.uk.

See you all at the tables later and in the meantime have fun!!!

Friday, 28 November 2008

Morning again all,

Well on the poker front yesterday I had a much better day and won about £400 from sit and goes and £900 in multis. I played in 2 multis yesterday and am still amazed at the amount of games they have on there. I logged in and looked at the multis at just gone 8 and there was still so much choice to choose from. I entered the $35k guaranteed which was a $10 rebuy – yes for just £7 you can win $7,000 amazing value really. Anyway had a bit of fun it and went reasonably deep but fell short of the money. Played in the $30k gtd as well where I made the final table and went out in 6th,, picking up $1,800 for my troubles. No bad beat stories to be told here as I was just so card dead I ended up shoving with 23 clubs.

Well it seems that no one wants to pick up £50 from the competition so that will keep some money in my pocket. Take a guess if you want to, they are logical answers if you took a good think about it.

Don’t forget the Big Slick have a £50,000 gtd live tournament tomorrow night if you need any information on this please E Mail me at duffs16@hotmail.co.uk and I will answer any questions that you have.

Well today I’m off to get the missus a car so won’t have too much time for poker at all for the next few days as tomorrow we are off to a big party so probably won’t play now till Sunday night.

When I started posting this blog I had already made a business plan and within this plan I had lots of big ideas for poker and these are well ahead of schedule and on track for what I want to achieve. I have always felt that any business plan needs to be realistic and achievable and kept to and if things pan out the way I hope then I will have some great news for you all.

Many thanks to all those that continue to read my ramblings and good luck at the tables but don’t forget if you want to know about the benefits of The Big Slick and Ipoker please send me a mail as I would be able to help you out. I know I keep bleating on about it and don’t want to come across as a mere spammer but the site is the biggest in Europe and is getting bigger and once you get used to it I really cant see why you would need to play elsewhere if you can get a good deal on there. I truly wish that someone had approached me a long time ago about it so am only doing what I wish someone else had done.

Don’t forget to have a look at the ECOOP schedule which is an earlier post and see you at the tables.

£50 Comp up for grabs

Hello again,

I noticed someone on Betfair forum put loooooooool to my blog - simple answer there is don’t read it if you don’t like it. I am trying to do the blog the best way I can and am trying to keep it up to date. A lot of what I write I guess is about I Poker and The Big Slick as that is where I now play my poker and I believe in the site - why wouldn’t I? It has the best offering of games that I have seen from a site and has never once disconnected me. I have been guilty of Spamming on the forum but all I am doing is pointing people towards a better site with better bonus rewards.

Talking of The Big Slick as most of you know it is a poker club in Croydon and I frequent the club now and again and one other advantage of having an account with them is you can use it to enter their live games at the club. This Saturday they have a £200 freezeout game with a guaranteed prize pool of £20,000 with £7,500 to the winner for anyone who might be in the area who fancies it. Unfortunately I can’t make this one as I have a big party to go to but if I did I could have entered through my account and even get cash there from my account, just another advantage for me of using this site.

I played in The ECOOP $100k guaranteed last night and was amazed to see that not only did it reach its guarantee it well and truly surpassed it and ended up on about $256k with the winner getting about $46k. Unfortunately this wasn’t me, I started off OK and was 8th at one time before becoming totally card dead and having to shove from the button to get called by AJ and that was me gone in about 400th place. I believe the main event tonight is Omaha Hi/lo which I am clueless at so will be giving that a miss.

Quick apology by the way to Deejay who I know has now read this blog and probably spotted the picture of his arse - sorry mate!! Carl you won the £20 that I put up for grabs can you get in touch so that I can send it to you.

Right I’ve decided to do another competition and as its getting near Xmas Ill send the winner £50 to the first person who gets these answers about me correct - the obvious close friends and family are excluded from this so in answer to Dave no you cant enter. I didn’t want it to be too easy so the first person to answer all 3 questions correct in the same post is the winner.

1. What do I wear in bed every night that is different to most people?
2. What gets bigger on my desk every day?
3. What sport uses glue?

Well that’s £50 up for grabs if anyone fancies it - Good luck

Depending on how my day pans out I may well put a few pics up later but if not good luck at the tables.

Its started

Morning all

Well havent too much to report really over the last couple of days. I have run bad in sit and gos but it will change but managed to keep my head above water and break even thanks to a little win in cash and a few final tables in multis.

Spent the day yesterday looking for a new car for the missus as the one she had an accident in has now been written off. It needs to be a family car so spent the day at car giant in White City looking for a car. Tossing up between 2 at the moment and it should be a no brainer really but the choice is the Lexus or Chrysler. The Lexus is by far the better quality but the voyager has the 7 seats which would be very useful so weighing up the pros and cons at the moment.

On a much brighter note ECOOP has now started and is available on IPOKER - if you havent got an account then please mail me at duffs16@hotmail.co.uk and ill be able to get one set up for you. Todays event is:

DAY THREE
ECOOP NL Hold'em Turbo Wed November 26
2008 $100+$9 $100,000 Guaranteed

So thats a $100 entry for a $100k gtd event - without a doubt I will be playing in that one tonight. The full schedule is in an earier post so please take a look on there and if you decide to play good luck and Ill see you at the final table.

I have abust work day today so need to sign off now but I have an idea for a competion which if I have time later ill put on here.

All the best

Monday Morning

Morning all,

Hope you all had a good weekend and a profitable one. Firstly I have noticed that Carl (Mandylou on Betfair forum) guessed the holder of the arse and posted it on the forum. It was Deejay (Dave Wells)and my clue was meant to be a little cryptic (spinning and records = Deejay). Ill have £20 shipped over to him later today. Thats one of the other things I like about IPoker is that you can transfer money to people.

On the Poker side of things I didnt play much over the weekend as I spend most of my time with the family at weekends but with the little I did play I ended up £300 down. I am going through one of those sick runs at the moment where I keep running KK into aces and losing all the vital races at the wrong time. I am not worried about this as it happens to us all and will blitz it later today so hopefully will turn these losses into a profit.

Most of my time at the weekend was taken up with putting up the outside Christmas lights. We are one of those mad group of people who go mad with the outside decorations at Christmas so it all takes time to do. There is a lot of satisfaction with the end result though and the neighbourhood love it and my two boys (6 and 8) love it as well and as they still believe it makes it worthwhile. Its not finished yet but will be ready for the big switch on in 2 weeks time. I will post a picture on here of the end result so you can all criticise me for being a sad bastard.

Well Betfair in their infinite wisdom have decided to ban me now from the Betfair forum. In one respect I cant really blame them as I was getting a little spammy with my references to I Poker and to this Blog but in my opinion they could have gone about it in a better way. It was a little silly really as I have access to about 7 accounts on there where I am able to post so its hardly going to stop me. I am going to put a statement on there later as I feel its important that everyone knows why I left them and the underlying facts.

I think in previous posts I explained my history in Poker and I think most people were aware of my loyalty to Betfair. I used to play on the site all of the time and never played anywhere else and part of this reason was because I had a good relationship with most of the head staff there and they did look after me from time to time. When Bruce Stubbs took over the site got worse and worse especially for myself. The multis I enjoyed playing were being cut and the stts were not filling. There were also lots of underlying issues such as the use of prop players that I didnt like. I mailed Betfair at least 12 times trying to put ideas to them and even offering to do Brucies job for him but all was to no avail. I asked what improvements were being made before I decided to go and to that there was no answer. I really tried to communicate and just could not get an answer and I can tell you for a fact that a lot of the head staff there feel the same was as me. Bruce done a crap job end of and in my opinion has taken the site backwards and is the one to blame for their ultimate demise.

I have no regrets leaving Betfair and am now playing on a site where I can get all the games that I want when I want and with the the bonuses and loyalty discounts dont lose anything from rake in fact it works out more. I feel really sad about the forum ban though as all they had to do was give me a buzz and ask if I could refrain from spamming which I must admit I was doing or at least give me a warning. I havent heard a single word from them though all I knew was I went to post and couldnt. In fact since I have left I havent heard a single word from them, I was worth a fair bit of money to them in rake and I would have thought they would have tried to lure me back (funny way to run a business really). Anyway its their loss and my gain.

I really am excited about my future in poker and will have a lot of news coming your way over the coming weeks.

Well spent long enough on here now and had better do some work - Good luck at the tables and dont forget if you want any information on I Poker please give me a shout.

New competion coming tommorow by the way where Ill put £50 up for grabs for the first correct answers so tune in.

Guess Who

Not much to report today - ended up £200 on the day and was up and down like a yoyo. Thought I would give you a little challenge today - first one to guess right I will send £20. At my last home game someone used my camera and took this pic - first one tell me the owner of this arse gets the £20. First clue is that he was at my home game (obviously) - more clues to follow.

Just Another Day

Hi,

Just thought I would give you my daily update on my antics. Played a reasonable bit of poker yesterday and had a bash at the RIO jackpot as mentioned in my last post but to no joy. The most I got to was 2 wins in a row so back to square one. The rest of my play was in double up games and the occasional 6 seater, I ended the days play £500 up so that was OK.

Since switching from Betfair though I have managed to triple the amount of games I play without playing for longer periods of time. This is mainly because when at Betfair the 200 games didnt fill very quickly and very rarely in the daytime. They were also set up to pay the top 2. What I am finding on IPOKER though is that the 200 double ups fill straight away and I can play more at the same time, combined with the fact that they only play down until the 4th player is eliminated which means they finish a lot quicker. Now when I was at Betfair I raked about £2,500 per month and got about £800 per month back in rake. On IPOKER i could get a higher level of loyalty bonuses and discounts which could amount to a lot more so am getting £2,625 back. On a yearly basis this could be worth an extra £21,900 per year to me.

After realising this it is easy to understand that potentially I could make a reasonable living as long as I dont lose when playing.I am working on a business plan at the moment with regards to making a full time living from poker and part of this plan obviously involves my on line play. Simple maths tells me that if I paid £7,000 per month in poker fees and could get some of these back in the form of bonuses and discounts then this could equate to £29,400 per year. If I could make a profit of just £1,500 per month then this would give an additional £18,000 making a total of £47,400.

Now this is not enough for me alone to want to focus full time as my business brings in more than that but as I have said part of my business model is to bring players into the IPOKER network which would increase my income as well as offering them a good deal on the biggest and best site in Europe. If I could look after my players and deliver what I promise then I think I have a good chance of succeeding. There are a lot of other big ideas that I am currently working on to do with Poker and I will share these with you as time goes on.

Dont forget to mail me if you want any more information on any of my dealings at the moment and if I dont play golf tomorrow I will have some spare time to put some pictures up of past home games etc.(would prefer to play golf though)

have a good day at the tables one and all

Start of a dream - maybe!!

Morning all,

I find it really weird writing a blog when you have no idea whether anyone is actually going to read it - a bit like talking to yourself but hey ho if I tell my parents about it Im sure they will have a read.

Yesterdays poker was Ok and managed to make £300 profit which is much better than losing. Thought I was going to win the 15k on IPOker at once stage but managed to donk it off and come 11th. Played loads of double ups and tried for the Rio jackpot where if you win 6 $20 games in a row you get $130k. I managed a grand total of 2 before bombing out. I have won my last one so only need 5 in a row today - will have a bash later.

My good friend Shaa and I are still actively trying to get players on board with us as I am sure that what we are promoting is the best site out there and we have lots of plans going forward. I have a passion for Poker as you may well have guessed and now that I have found a poker site that I know can deliver and is rapidly growing then I can happily recommend this site. The plan is to recruit as many players as possible in the next month and then to really look after our players and see what we can offer as a bonus. Things such as packages, freerolls and the like are in the pipeline, we just need a few more on board first.

Its been a very rocky road for me this year with the credit crunch and it has affected my business immensley as I work in the Financial Services sector. There has been many a time where if I didnt have commitments and a young family I would have walked but we all need to pay the bills. It has all just been very stressful though. If my plans pan out then hopefully my full time income would be from Poker. Not just from playing myself but I have lot of plans and there are a few things that I am looking at and will share these with you in the near future.

Please feel free to E Mail me or post on here if you want any details on Ipoker and Ill be happy to chat to you about it. In the meantime have fun at the tables and keep checking in there will be some interesting stuff on here I promise.

The Week Ahead

Good Morning,

As I said in the previous posts I am going to try and do regular posts here so here goes with this days entry. I didnt have the best days poker results but had a closer look at what is available with the IPOKER site. They have a promotion on there where if you win 6 $20 games in a row then you win the jackpot - this jackpot now stands at $130,000 so I am going to give this a good try. Now I know this is very hard to do but potentially you could pay $120 and win $130,000 , certainly wouldnt be a bad return for your money.

They also have all the events and sats for The European Championship of Online Poker so I am going to have a good look at these as they start next week and choose which events I am going to go for. For all details of the events and the site please take a look here http://www.bigslick.co.uk/

On a family front I really hope bad things dont happen in threes as my wife had an accident in her car on Thursday and took out the whole left hand side of the car. The kids were in there as well so can only be grateful that no-one was hurt. The following day my daughter who has only been driving her car for 3 months had an accident on the motorway and wrote hers off - apart from a few bruises she was OK as well thank God. Just makes you realise how lucky you can be and as I have said hopefully we wont get the third!!

Im new to this blogging but am going to try and get some banners up and links to sites that I like etc but in the meantime if you like the look of IPOKER aand want a rebate back of some of your poker fees please E Mail me.

In the coming days I will be putting up pictures of some of my Home games and Betfair Forum Games so watch this space.

Duffs Past and Present

Firstly welcome to anyone who ventures onto this page and bothers to read my ramblings. I have never had a blog before and have now decided to create one. I am not completley savvy with this type of thing but one thing I will do is try and keep it updated and informative.A lot of my time is spent with my family and business but this blog will predominatley be about poker. I first starting playing poker about 6 years ago after watching it on television and then finding an online site. I started with Littlewoods and then William Hill and ended up at Betfair. I have had many a good year at betfair and have enjoyed trips to Australia,Singapore and Spain with them.I make a good profit from playing poker especailly as its only in my spare time and have enjoyed it as well. One of the things I liked about Betfair was the community spirit that was there and the forum where there were many characters who came to the fore.It was after playing against these same characters that I decided to have a home game and these have grown and grown and at the last home game we had 56 players. We made a good weekend of it and played Ten Pin bowling and did Karting on the Friday and then Golf and Poker on the saturday. It went very well and I will soon be planning the next one so watch this space.Recently I switched sites to I Poker and if anyone is interested in a deal there give me a shout and Ill be able to sort it for you. This was for a number of reasons and was mainly as I wasnt getting the games that I wanted and the traffic was getting worse and worse.I am now going to heavily promote the I Poker site and will endeavour to keep you informed on my poker and life in general. Thank you to anyone who has bothered to read and Ill see you at the tables.
